Business Missions

Business Missions in detail

How a mission is designed and delivered: the institutional framework, the sectors, the formats and the structure of the journey, in China and in Italy.

A structured programme, in collaboration with EMCC

Business Missions are a structured, institutionally anchored service: immersive, professionally facilitated visits designed to produce concrete outcomes such as meetings, agreements, partnerships and investment structures.

EMCC’s Beijing office provides direct access to Chinese government bodies, national research institutions and leading enterprises. ZOHKT manages the relationship with the participating companies, before, during and after the mission.

Defining characteristics

Exclusively business-focused

No tourism, no leisure components. Every hour of the programme serves an economic objective.

Institutional framing

Access to ministries, leading universities, government agencies and national research centres, plus leading private companies.

Company-specific matching

Each participating company engages with counterparts relevant to its sector, product and strategic objective.

Outcome orientation

The programme is designed to generate signed agreements, letters of intent, joint venture discussions, distribution contracts and research collaborations.

Full professional support

Dedicated transport, five-star accommodation, senior bilingual interpretation, pre-trip briefing materials and 24-hour assistance.

Italian and European frame

An introductory event and a follow-up seminar provide the criteria for analysing the experience, before and after the journey, from the European market and regulatory point of view.

How a mission is built

In China

  • Duration: from 3 nights and 4 days to 7 nights and 8 days
  • Cities: one to three
  • Preparation: briefing at the hotel after landing
  • Corporate visits: company museum, company tour, meeting with senior management or the CEO
  • Exhibition or event: participation as visitors, with a dedicated programme for exhibitors
  • Government meeting: data framework, strategic topics, discussion
  • Goodbye ceremony: debriefing and friendly exchanges

In Italy

  • Preliminary meeting: online or in person, to provide the cultural framework and explain the concept
  • Conclusion seminar: summary of the visit and key topics, with panelists and a keynote that integrates the EU point of view on regulations and market characteristics. It may be open to the public
